The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, formerly named as Villa Vizcaya, was initially built in 1922 and is the previous villa and estate of industrialist and businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. It is unique in every sense of the word, drawing a feeling of peace and calm vibe that is rarely found in Miami.

There is nothing quite like it!

The 50-acres villa sits on an expansive and gorgeous, like something you would see in old-world Italy or France. One of the most beautiful things about this house is that it sits right on Biscayne Bay, and it boasts a stunning and majestic architecture combined with a fantastic stone terrace that looks out to it. Inside the house, there are over 70 rooms that are preserved with original furnishings, and most of these rooms are roped off and can be used for your event as well. On the other hand, the inner courtyard is covered, so if you are worried about rain, you would have to tent the terrace.

Vizcaya is an extraordinary venue for weddings. It's available for rent every day of the year except for certain major holidays, and their experienced staff in the facility rental program is eager to work with you to make your special event memorable.

Event Space:
Ceremonies are held in the gardens, or in the Courtyard of the Main House while cocktail parties can be held either in the Courtyard of the Main House, the gardens, or the terraces that's overlooking Biscayne Bay and Vizcaya’s historic gardens (Take note: this areas availability depends on the size of the event).

Also, tenting is recommended for events that will be held on the upper East Terrace. The maximum capacity for the indoor Main House Courtyard is around 80-100 guests seated at tables of 10 while it can accommodate around 120 guests if seated in theater style.

The outdoor east terrace that's overlooking Biscayne Bay can accommodate around 300-500 guests seated at tables of 10. Lastly, the gardens, with the east and south terraces for reception can accommodate around 800-1,000 guests.
